The Transformer Station is a site specific installation, inside of the generator building of an abandoned shipyard in the harbour of Copenhagen. In the space where the electric generator once stood the historical context of the island is integrated with archive material into the installation. The pictures of the former shipyard are projected on the iron door of the building.
A disquieting sound comes from the basement – and spreads throughout the space.
